Student Involvement Fair Interest Form
On Monday, March 15 from 3:00pm-4:30pm, join the Department of Student Life and the Center for Community as we host the first annual Student Involvement Fair! With the same concept as the Student Organization Expo, the Student Involvement Fair is reserved for College offices, departments and programs to educate students about the services and resources they offer as well as recruit students for upcoming involvement opportunities within the department such as internships and volunteering.

Over the past several years, various offices and departments on campus have expressed interest in hosting a table at the Student Organization Expo. While worthy of the opportunity, the Student Organization Expo is designed specifically for College registered student organizations. As a result of COVID-19, many of our offices have experienced a lack of connection with students and a decrease in expressed interest to get involved.

To lessen some of the hardships we have endured over the past couple of months, we are offering a platform for departments and offices to engage with students and discuss involvement opportunities.

How Will It Work?
The fair will be hosted over Zoom. Once created, we will share the link with each of the interested offices and departments as well as campus wide. The fair will begin in a large group session and then break out into separate virtual rooms. Each office/department/program will have their own designated breakout room. Students will be given the choice to self select their breakout room with the option to join other rooms, thus allowing students to meet with various offices and departments. Keep in mind, students will be entering intermittently.

What Do You Need to Prepare?
No presentation required! We envision the structure to be similar to a Q&A. We recommend preparing a brief description about your program and/or involvement opportunities. If you are looking to recruit participants, interns or volunteers for your program, be sure to share the specifics with the attendees. If there is an application or website for additional information, please provide the link. You have full autonomy to tailor your session content as you see fit. We ask that each department or office commit to attending the full 90 minutes.

Please complete this information below by Friday, March 12 if your office is interested in participating!
